Seriously, I am totally amazed at all the things you can do with vinegar. I never really used vinegar for its cleaning properties until my sister told me I should; now I use it throughout the house in place of chemical cleaners. I have even replaced fabric softener sheets with vinegar. I add a tablespoon of vinegar to the fabric softener spot in my front loader and my laundry comes out of the dryer with WAY LESS static. Bonus, my washing machine doesn’t have that musty front loader smell anymore. I also use vinegar to keep my toilets sparkly clean. If you missed that post you can find it here. All You recently shared an article covering the many uses of vinegar. It includes great tips for using vinegar around your house. I love finding ways to replace toxic and costly items! What is your favorite use for vinegar? We would love for you to share!
Mother’s Day is right around the corner. We are visiting family Saturday and having family over for a cook-out on Sunday. This will be my second Mother’s Day, but it still feels weird to fall into the category of being celebrated. I love being a mom, but I can now understand what people mean when they say parenting will be the hardest job you will ever do. I am hoping one year quite soon will find me moving forward feeling like I am a good parent and leaving mommy guilt behind, but I doubt that ever happens. Moms definitely have a hard job and they so deserve some spoiling! If you are still looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift consider essential oils. I’d love to help you find the perfect gift for the mom in your life!
A lot has happened over the last few weeks so I thought I would give you a little update. We accepted an offer on our house after only two weeks on the market and found a new house about a week later. I was honestly worried we would not find the house we really wanted. I am accoustomed to green and the area of Oklahoma where we are moving is the exact opposite. In fact, it is the land of red dirt and no trees. Thankfully, after much looking and praying we found a great house with a beautiful yard and tons of green in Logan county. We are near Guthrie so we will still have that small town community feel, while also enjoying the benefits of being close to the city. We pack up and leave here on the 15th for our new adventure. These are a few pictures of our new place:
On April 26 I was able to mark something off my bucket list by running my first full marathon. It was the most mentally and physically challenging thing I have ever attempted, luckily I had my father in law and husband by my side to keep me moving forward. There were so many times I thought I couldn’t take another step, but we finished together and I loved every minute of it. Running 26.2 miles gives you plenty of time to think. There are I few things I realized along the way that I thought I could share.
